GeoSpark was formed in July 2012 with the desire to provide agile and flexible products to enable companies to properly use their data and deploy it to greatest effect. Priding himself on being customer focused, lead developer John Donovan pools the knowledge and experience of over twenty years as a programmer and team leader for a number of top industry leaders; this allows him to create robust solutions for your projects.

As lead developer, John works on all GeoSpark projects, and can call on in-depth knowledge of languages such as Python, C++, and Lua, as well as cutting-edge web technologies and specialist applications to ensure the right tools are used to solve the problem. He has worked within industries as diverse as heritage and archaeology, games, defense, and retail.

John also has a BSc in Archaeology from the University of Liverpool, where he specialised in surveying, mapping, and geophysical surveying techniques.
